More About Bridges Learning Center

Our Approach

We incorporate TEACCH techniques, a structured approach to teaching students with autism that emphasizes visual supports, structured learning environments, and individualized strategies to promote independence. Our team will be fully trained and TEACCH-certified by the 2025-2026 school year.

In addition to academics, we focus on:

    •    Social Skills – Encouraged through structured play activities, fostering communication, teamwork, and confidence.

    •    Life Skills – Including kitchen safety, cooking, self-care, housekeeping, and other daily living skills that promote independence.

Highly Qualified & Passionate Team

Our team is made up of dedicated professionals with specialized training in autism and special education:

    •    Lead Teacher – Holds a dual bachelor’s degree in General and Special Education from Western Governors University (WGU) and has earned an Autism Certificate from IBCCES. She will be attending TEACCH training in July 2025 to obtain full certification.

    •    Experienced Teacher Aides – FBI Level One cleared, First Aid & CPR certified, and trained through IBCCES for Autism.

Small Class Sizes & Individualized Attention

We maintain a 1:4 student-to-teacher ratio, ensuring each child receives the personalized support they need. Our small group setting allows for differentiated instruction, where lessons can address multiple learning levels at once while accommodating splinter skills (areas of advanced or delayed development).

“If they can't learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn.”
―Dr. O. Ivar Lovaas of the Lovaas Institute
